PLASTIC WATERING ROCKS

WR-Pic-Sets-PWR

What are they? Watering Rocks look great in your garden and serve as a portable drip system. WRs provide an attractive container source watering system.

What do they do? For garden areas that do not have a water source or if you wish to admonish the existing sprinkler watering system, WRs provide a source for plants or areas that need additional and more thorough watering needs. The main advantage of this container drip system is that it waters; with additives should you choose, more thoroughly over a longer period of time and at whatever rate you choose. You control the drip with the included adjustable drippers. WRs may even save on water as they water more efficiently allowing the soil time to absorb the water better. Water and additives are easily added through holes located on the top back side of the rock.

What are the benefits? Have you ever worried about that new plant, tree, or shrub that you just planted getting enough water and nutrients?  Have you ever worried that you would forget to water, daily? Do you need a portable drip system to water an area that has no water source and do not want the hassle of running a new drip line? If so, you would definitely benefit from having a Watering Rock. Fill it from the easily accessible hole located on the top of the rock, add some additives if you choose, and your work is done. The rock will do the rest. Your plants will love you for buying it

ROCK POTS (RP)

What are they? Rock Pots came about as the result of my marketing efforts for Watering Rocks. While passing out flyers at garden centers customers would ask me to make something like the WRs for decks, verandas, and/or patios. Their requests revolved around a pot that looked appealing that would provide a water source to their potted plants while they were on vacation and during hot summer days.

What do they do? The RPs are made of the same special blend of concrete mortar with silicone blends laid over 20 gauge steel wire mesh. The inside of the rock has a plastic container for each hole to hold a small reservoir of water. The holes are designed for 4″, 6″, and even an 8″ potted plant to sit nicely in the hole.

What are sizes? The smaller rocks are One 6″ hole, Two 6″ holes, Two 4″ inch holes.

The larger rocks are One 8″ hole rock, a 3 hole rock with Two 6″ holes and One 4″ hole, and a 4 hole rock with Two 6″ holes and Two 4″ holes. The 3 and 4 hole rocks are nice for a miniature arrangement with larger plants in the back and smaller plants in the front.

What are the colors? Rock Pot colors include brown, red, buff, and terra cotta.

What are the benefits? RPs provide a small reservoir water source to plants. The plastic container can be filled, as long as the plant is elevated above the hole, to provide water when gone on vacation. RPs keep your plant from blowing over from wind. Gardeners who buy RPs like the look of the rock and how the plants appear to be growing from a rock. Because of their uniqueness they are also conversation pieces.

Some gardeners prefer that the RPs drain. I did not make them to drain because most requests center around a water supply for plants. But, if desired, holes can be made in the plastic container by the buyer and the water will drain through the plastic container and the concrete.
