Watering Rocks Portable Drip Systems Logo

Thanks so much for the fast shipping! The grounds are beautiful, but this rock is for my home garden. I have a yard full of drought-tolerant plants that don’t require irrigation, and then one thirsty rose bush I’ve been having a hard time finding a solution for.

I scoured the internet looking for a decorative receptacle for a drip system, and your product is the only one that I found. It looks great in the garden! What a great solution for people who want some ornamentals don’t want a full sprinkler system. I’m definitely going to recommend this product.

Thanks!
Danielle

I reside in Arizona and maintain a yard filled with many desert plants and trees but a limited watering system. For this reason, I was seeking a mobile water supplementation tool. I tried a tree bag but found it problematic. Therefore, I was excited to learn about the Drip Irrigation Rock – per the description it appeared to be a better match for my watering needs. I decided to try the five gallon rock. I was immediately impressed with their customer service because I received it just shortly after placing my order. I am so pleased with the Drip Irrigation Rock that I ordered two more. It does everything as described – the water trickles out, slowly, beneficially, and completely. It is also very easy to use – just fill and go (no batteries, electricity, or hose hook-up needed). I also appreciate its mobility ease – I use mine for several different plants – front and back as well as my trees.
If you are in need of a water supplementation tool, I highly recommend the Drip Irrigation Rock. I rate it five stars for its beneficial design and use as well as the company’s responsive customer service.

I recently hung a couple hanging flower planters from my back deck. It was a little awkward reaching up to water them everyday. I found the Watering Rock and that solved the problem! The Rock sits on top of my deck with the tubing running down to the planters. Much easier!

This is the 6th rock I have purchased. I definitely recommend them for slow and deep watering. I have several set up watering 15 floribunda and oso easy roses planted in garden mulched with white rocks. These flower beds are hot! The summer heat surrounding these roses is intense, ranging from 122-146F. Since I have purchased these rocks, my roses look wonderful.
I use a couple to just move from place to place when I need a deep watering around a tree or new plantings. I just adjust the water drip to the desired level and walk away.
They are definitely a time and water saver!!!

Good for our needs, fake rock looks good in garden, being able to fill it up and water five plants on a bit of a hillside/ bank works out quite well for our needs, set up is easy, you just have to play with the drip rate. Like the idea of this, saves watering some areas that don’t need water, ie dirt, rocks in yard. gets to the base or ring around plants

This rock is a great drip irrigation tool. I use it to water my vegetable garden with acceptable water. I like several features that it comes with and have had few issues, all of which are preventable and easily fixable.
I have found that everything grows better and tastes better when I use water that is not straight from the city pipes. I have tried using collected rain water, but that system is too unreliable and even if we do get a large rainfall, Its not good to keep water sitting around too long in containers; it grows slimy green stuff. Soln: I let city water sit in the sun 24-48 hrs then it is good to add to this system and use for my garden.
This system comes with just enough tubing to reach my 3 pot raised garden bed. IT is easy enough to get more tubing if I need more. The tubing is nice and flexible, easy for placing it where its needed.
The drip heads that come with the kit are adjustable (for dripping speed) and the caps come off to let out debris that might have gotten into the lines. If the lines clog up, its because I put water with debris in my system.
I find that I have to raise this rock up above the garden level to get enough pressure for it to run to the end.

This product not only works exceptionally well, It looks great in my garden. I would recommend this to anyone trying to conserve water. It puts the water right where the plants want it and it doesn’t take away from the beauty of the plants.

Their response on what to do via e-mail was immediate!

I bought 2 of these watering rocks. I have a portion of my yard that the sprinkler system doesn’t get so I ordered these rocks to keep the plants watered. It is easy to setup and I like that you can adjust the dripper to a slow or fast drip. It lasts about 3-4 days before refilling, depending on how fast you adjust the dripper. From a distance you can’t tell that they are not real rocks. The only drawback is there is no way to secure them to the ground. We live in a fairly windy area so when the rock empties, it could get blown away. I will need to figure something out. Overall I love it.

FAQ

Question: Is it BPA free?
Answer: I checked with my manufacturer and they responded that it does not have any BPA present in the plastic material.

Question: what size batteries does it use
Answer: Does not use any batteries or need electric. Uses gravity and pressure in the rock to drip.
Works very well if drip line is level or downward sloping.
See www.watering-rocks.com for pics, instructions, and FAQ.

Question: How long does a 5 gallon rock drip for? Are we talking hours, days or weeks?
Answer: The rock includes 6 adjustable drippers. If all are connected and set at a very slow drip which is usually all you need it will drip for .2 – 3 days. Rocks can be hooked up in sequence to last longer.
