Hanging Baskets

Although Hanging Baskets are beautiful they are also expensive and fairly difficult to keep watered and looking nice. Anyone who has owned one realizes how quick they tend to dry out and wilt. It is a daily struggle to get the hose out at least once a day. But these plants could actually use watering at least three times daily. Some hanging baskets are designed to catch and hold water for a longer period of time. This makes the baskets a lot heavier putting more stress and weight on the hook holding your beauty.

Hanging Flower Basket Spring Watering System

The Hanging Basket Watering System

Facilitates watering hanging baskets, planters, and pots.

Garden Centers use elaborate drip systems with water lines and drippers set up to water the baskets at various intervals throughout the day. That is how they keep their baskets looking beautiful and ready for you to buy. You can set up one of these systems for your baskets but will need a dedicated water source and watering timer. These systems take quite a bit of time and investment to set up but work well. The only problem is that investment is for that set up only.

What if you have some pots on your patio or veranda?

Did you know?

…the hanging basket system has a reservoir holding tank that automatically turns on when filled to a predetermined level and off at a lower level.

Or you have some plants on your boat or camper that need to be watered throughout the week while you’re away?

What I am saying is, Do You Need A Portable Watering System that can be used in many different circumstances for a lot less money.

We have found just such a system by JCPJ Enterprises. This new system addresses demands for a watering device that is portable and can move water up to their pots, planters, and hanging baskets.

Finally, a solution that solves the hanging basket watering dilemma once and for all.

No timer or water supply lines are needed meaning expensive installs making it less expensive than a permanently installed drip system.

Automatic Drip Feature

This new system is designed to incorporate the automatic drip feature of a Watering Rock Portable Automatic Irrigation Drip System into a reservoir holding tank that automatically turns on when filled to a predetermined level and off at a lower level. The frequency of the watering is determined by the amount of drip you set from the Watering Rock adjustable dripper into the pump reservoir.

The beauty of this system is that no timer or supply lines are needed.

The Hanging Basket Watering System...

…is completely portable. The only limitation being access to electric for the pump.

5-Gallon Water Source

Watering Rock 5 Gallon TankThe supply line source is the 5-gallon Watering Rock tank that is used to slowly fill the powerful pump included in the kit. The only requirement is an electrical outlet nearby to plug the pump into.

The pump only needs one line from the Watering Rock to fill it, the other five lines from the Watering Rock can be directed to other plants on a gravity feed basis.

Also, once the lines are set for your baskets or planters you can water all of them manually by simply adding water to the pump container until it comes on. The advantage of this is that it waters all the baskets at once with one filling. If you want to add more, simply let the cycle run and add water again. This always waters all the plants, not just one at a time.

The Hanging Basket Watering System...

…waters all the plants not just one at a time.

Simple Solution
This all sounds complicated but it is simple. The pump fills up, pumps it out, then shuts off. The purpose of the Watering Rock is to fill the pump over time to provide intermittent automatic watering.

Watering Duration
Our current Watering Rock holds five gallons of water. The duration till next fill of the Watering Rock is determined by how many gravity drippers are going to other plants and how fast the dripper from the Watering Rock is set to fill the pump reservoir. If used exclusively for the pump, the Watering Rock may only need to be filled once a week. Each watering cycle dispenses approximately 3 cups of water and nutrients (if added to the water), 4 cups = 1 qt.

Plus, if you do not need the Watering Rock for the hanging baskets, pots, or planters you can use it in the yard for a variety of other watering needs.

Hanging Basket Watering System Components

The new system includes a pump that does require electricity. The pump included has a 15’ lift limit which should be able to reach the height of most hanging baskets.

What They Say

I recently hung a couple hanging flower planters from my back deck. It was a little awkward reaching up to water them everyday. I found the Watering Rock and that solved the problem! The Rock sits on top of my deck with the tubing running down to the planters. Much easier!

What They Say

Good for our needs, fake rock looks good in garden, being able to fill it up and water five plants on a bit of a hillside/ bank works out quite well for our needs, set up is easy, you just have to play with the drip rate. Like the idea of this, saves watering some areas that don’t need water, ie dirt, rocks in yard. gets to the base or rink around plants.
